Continuing a Family Tradition

There is a long legacy of dentistry in James’ family, reaching back four generations. At the time, there were no dental schools for his great-grandfather to attend, so he practiced as a self-taught dentist. His grandfather was one of the first dentists in Korea. James’ father followed in the same footsteps. While growing up, James spent a good amount of time in his father’s dental clinic. He knew early on that he, too, would become a dentist.

Dental Qualifications and Training

James attended the University of Sydney, graduating in 2015. He decided to open his own practice in 2019.

To continue learning, James takes regular educational courses on a variety of dental topics. He is a part of:

• The Australian Dental Association
• The AIC
• The POS

Outside of Dentistry

When James isn’t in the clinic, he likes to be with his family. He and his young son spend much of their spare time together as James tries to balance his family and work lives.
